Welcome to The Miners Arms. A unique 17th century pub and restaurant at the foot of Dartmoor, serving the best in local food and real ales.
Beautifully positioned in the secluded hamlet of Hemerdon near Plympton, The Miners Arms gives you the perfect moorland pub setting with fabulous views looking out over Plymouth Sound.
For a bite to eat, you can satisfy your taste buds with some of our gastro pub food in our relaxing bar and restaurant. Indulge yourself with our locally sourced, seasonal menu and extensive wine cellar. Or try one of our real ales, including our own, locally brewed Tungsten Tipple.
At The Miners Arms Plympton, not only do we serve you fabulous food in a wonderful family friendly pub, but our team are always planning regular events as well. Everything from monthly ladies lunches, beer & cider festivals to family fun days and plenty more. See our up and coming events here.
Located just a stone’s throw from the trails of Dartmoor, of course we’re no strangers to a bit of mud! A regular stop-off point for ramblers and cyclists taking advantage of the area, muddy boots are OK with us. We’re a doggy friendly pub too, so walkers with muddy paws are more than welcome!
As we have a bridal path running right next to us, we also welcome any horse riders that pass through. We have a dedicated area for your trusty rides to rest up and get refreshed, while you enjoy a refreshment of your own.
We’re also a great family friendly pub. Perfectly set up for large family get-togethers and smaller occasions or celebrations in our restaurant. Plus, our outdoor children’s play area will be more than a match for the little ones!
So why not stop by for a visit? We’ve got great food, a great atmosphere and real ales – it’s a great choice to start or finish your day.
